Hot Springs County Library in Thermopolis is celebrating National Quilting Month with an evening Quilt-In(Part One), March 28, 7-9 p.m. The event is designed to highlight what’s going on in the community with quilters and quilting.

“You don’t have to have a finished quilt to participate,” said Russ Ferree, who works with the library’s adult services programs. “If you are just thinking about making a quilt and looking at your fabric stash, bring in the colors an ideas. If you are not sure how to get started, join us. If you are half-way through and having a problem with the way the pattern works together, bring it with you — perhaps someone can give you advice. Bring whatever it is you are working. We’d like to show every step in the process of quilting.”

Quilt-In (Part Two) will be held July 8. “We’re hoping that the first one inspires people with their quilting projects, and we’ll get to see how things turned out when they return in July.”

The event is free and open to all. Hot Springs County Library is located at 344 Arapahoe Street, Thermopolis.
